Welcome to this website dedicated to both the history of sociology at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and the current research being carried out by our academic staff. Sociology at SGGW has a rich and long-standing tradition, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2029. Sociologists at SGGW explore a wide range of areas of social life, with particular attention to local communities, including rural communities. This research tradition has its roots in the work and intellectual legacy of Professor Władysław Grabski.
